Abstract :
We investigated packet transmission schemes for TDMA and CDMA systems under a condition that all systems assume the same bandwidth. In CDMA systems, packet dropping probabilities are improved by introducing carrier sensing and dividing frames into slots. The performance is improved further with a dynamic channel allocation method where packet transmission slot is allocated by base station. In TDMA systems, the performance without TPC is superior to that with TPC due to the capture effect. TDMA system shows better performance than CDMA system under the assumed conditions.
