Abstract
In this paper, the problem of time domain equalization in OFDM systems with insufficient cyclic prefix is discussed. A new algorithm is proposed to produce maximum throughput. This algorithm has two major steps: firstly, the maximum signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) in the time domain is computed; secondly, the coefficients of the time domain equalizer is determined by an iterative process that minimizes a SINR-related cost function. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm is able to produce an improved throughput performance to some existing algorithms.
