Abstract
In this paper, we investigate the optimisation of the loop filter for delay tracking loops in direct sequence spread spectrum systems. We search for a good trade-off between reducing noise effects and having a sufficiently reactive loop. This study is done on both the initial tracking phase, where the loop must compensate acquisition errors, and the permanent one, where the loop must follow delay evolutions.
