  • Abstract
Mathematical models of p-pair poles N-phase sine wave permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) in the abc static reference frame and d-q rotating reference frame are established. The maximum transient short-circuit current expression under the condition of an N phases symmetrical short circuit of the motor is deduced. Experiments show that the mathematical models established and short circuit current expressions deduced are correct.
