International Conference on Solid State Physics 2013 Publication Chair´s Preface

On behalf of the Publication Committee of the International Conference on Solid State Physics 2013 (ICSSP´13), and of the Magnetism and Magnetic Materials (MMM) Section of ICSSP´13, I am pleased to present a selection of papers from the ICSSP´13-MMM held in at University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan, on December 1–6, 2013. Among the 227 oral and poster presentations in ICSSP´13, the MMM section of ICSSP´13 had 80 contributed papers covering various aspects of magnetic materials and magnetism, and 57 manuscripts were submitted for peer review and possible publication in this present volume of the IEEE Transactions on Magnetics. After a rigorous review process, 23 manuscripts were selected for publication in this issue of the Transactions, strictly following the IEEE rules for conference related papers.
