Abstract
This paper presents the development of a measuring system working on the pressure wave propagation (PWP) technique with a high frequency immersion ultrasonic transducer as the source of the acoustic wave, capable of measuring in three dimensions the space charge characteristics in thin plaques of polymeric materials. The obtained results have demonstrated the effectiveness of the system. The research work would help with the advancement of knowledge on the effects of space charge dynamics in dielectrics.
