Abstract
We propose a theoretical solution for the drawback of the conventional IBR and provide an IBR image free from the initial illumination conditions. For the diffuse reflection component of a picture, the drawback is already solved by Shakunaga(as named Photometric IBR) and Shashua, but for the miller reflection component it is still an open problem in the theory. In this paper, we suggest that the photometric stereo method presented by Ikeuchi can be applied to solving this problem.
