Abstract :
The aqueous humor, contained in the anterior chamber of the eye, has been confirmed to be the optimal sensing site for the noninvasive polarimetric measurement of glucose for diabetics. However, motion artifact induced by the respiratory and cardiac processes have made this measurement difficult. In order to overcome this effect, it is necessary to determine the variations in corneal birefringence as a function of corneal position. For this paper, we describe the results obtained from a polarimetric system we designed and implemented for this determination. Both the experimental and theoretical results we present are in agreement.
