Abstract :
We propose a 3D model of human lens fiber major intrinsic protein (MIP or AQP0), based on comparative modeling using human AQP1 as a template. The validation of the generated model was done with the Swiss-PdbViewer program and the stereochemical quality of the model was verified with the PROCHECK program. The model can be of help in the research of relationship between human MIP and human cataracts.
