Abstract :
The doubly-fed adjustable speed mode of wound rotor induction machines can use smaller converter and reduce the system cost. A new torque control strategy based on the rotor flux orientation of doubly-fed machine is proposed in this paper. The theoretical analysis, current vector controller design and implementation method are discussed in detail. The simulation results for an experimental doubly-fed adjustable speed system are presented.
