New identification based weighted H/sub /spl infin// norm approximation scheme and its applications to controller reduction

In this paper a new weighted H/sub /spl infin// norm approximation scheme is proposed and applied to the controller reduction problem. This new system identification based scheme is illustrated using several well known examples from the literature.
