Abstract :
Distributed amplifiers based on the active coupling of two artificial composed right/left-handed transmission lines can give rise to a dual-band/diplexer performance. This reported work shows that it is possible to improve the isolation between bands by means of a non-uniform distribution of the devices´ transconductance. The theoretical basis of this approach is presented as well as an experimental validation, where improvements of more than 10 dB in the isolation are obtained.
