Abstract :
In this letter, we present an optimal unequal-slot based subchannel allocation algorithm that maximizes total data rate in multiuser Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple-Access (OFDMA) systems implemented in downlink transmission of wireless broadband networks. Giving the unequal number of subchannels per each slot and fixed order of users, proposed algorithm achieves the maximum total data rate. The expressions for maximum total data rate are derived. The simulation results have shown significant advantages of this approach, especially in the cases when the number of users in the system rises and when the number of subchannels per slot is not predefined.
