Abstract :
The unshunted SQUID is a magnetic flux sensor, whose Josephson junctions are damped in a novel way. We have studied its dynamics with noise sources by numerical simulation. Results suggest that its energy resolution is at least 2 times better than that of a conventional dc SQUID.
