Abstract
An auto-associative memory based method can be used to detect abnormal tissue in MR images automatically. An abnormal image vector is tested by application of an autocorrelation matrix that consists of normal image vectors. After the novelty filtering, the output corresponding to the abnormality is produced. The preliminary result and analysis showed that the method is feasible and effective.
