Abstract :
The skin blood flux (SBF) on healthy human skin was measured by Laser-Doppler Flowmetry and analyzed. It is found that the pulsatile component is the main one of the PBF fluctuations and it keeps a constant phase range with the radial arterial blood pressure (RABP). The coherence between PBF and RABP implies that the blood pressure wave instantaneously transmits to peripheral vasculature and then drives the on site blood. Furthermore, the reflection is not obvious on microvasculature since forward and backward wave mixing does not occur on this site.
