            Abstract : 
Volterra integral equations in the time domain for electromagnetic fields in longitudinal uniform dielectric waveguides with time-varying media in the core are obtained. For a time jump of the core permittivity, resolvent operators are constructed and new features appearing in the transients in comparison with an unbounded space is shown.
