Abstract
The wetting-balance method is supposed to be known. Based on clear physical principle, it allows unambiguous evaluations, however, some preconditions, given by the principle used, have to be fulfilled. Otherwise, more or less serious deviations from correct results are to be expected. This is particularly true with contemporary small sized IC packages, and SM components in general, where often specific adjustment and modifications are necessary. The paper tries to specify the limitations following from the used principle, and suggests some ways of possible solutions with more or less exact evaluation.
