Abstract :
Due to both of energy and power benefits obtainable in hybrid electrical energy storage system consisting of batteries and super capacitors, the past decade has seen the rapid development of hybrid electrical system in different areas such as hybrid electric vehicle, power quality and energy management. However, far too little attention has been paid to how much efficiency can be achieved providing hybrid electric energy storage (EES) is integrated into domestic energy system. This paper proposes a stand-alone domestic energy system consisting of generator, battery bank and super capacitor module. The objectives of this research are to evaluate and validate the performance and improvement with this optimized design in domestic application by comparing the proposed system with a conventional stand-alone CHP system.
