Abstract
A simplified computational model has been developed to study the behaviour of metallic particles in GITL systems. The model provides an estimate of the effectiveness of particle trapping, for a particular design of trap, at a given commissioning voltage. Additional work is in progress to extend the model to multiple particles of known size distribution, and for developing diagnostic tests on contaminated GITL systems.
