Abstract
The Signal Data Base System (SDB) is a set of facilities for managing a corpus of signal data and the results of operations performed on them. An SDB data base consists of a collection of objects, each of which is associated with a set of properties. SDB provide three levels of data base management services. The most basic level consists of facilities for setting, retrieving and removing properties of individual objects. The second level is concerned with the definition and invocation of property functions for computing properties which are defined procedurally. The third level of SDB is concerned with managing dependency relationships among property values.
