Abstract
After a systematic review of the Ant System (AS) algorithm research and application status, it is introduced into function optimization (Rosenbrock function optimization) in multi-dimension continuous space. A corresponding algorithm is defined and good simulation results are derived, thus the potential of the AS algorithm´s application to optimization problems in continuous space is proved. Finally, the applicability of AS in continuous space optimization problems solving are summarized.
