Abstract :
Automated recognizing and interpreting engineering drawings can be very useful in architectural fields. In this article, we discuss the dimension analysis taking into account the dimensions global relationship and integrate discrete dimensions into one global coordinate system to locate graphical parts precisely. We then present several methods combined with the semantic analysis implemented in symbol recognition and give a brief overview of our way to reconstruct 3D models. Finally, the perspectives and open problems in our system are proposed.
