Abstract :
An algorithm for recognizing the cutting line of clothes labels tape is proposed, which applies vertical edge detection and a distance filter to remove noise and locate the cutting line in image. The proposed algorithm is able to calculate the parameters of the cutting line accurately, and can be used in an automatic system for clothes labels cutting, so that the manufacturing efficiency is improved while the operating cost is decreased compared with hand work.
