Abstract :
This paper presents an analysis of the main requirements to support synchronous collaborative activities. Then, a collaborative platform, PLATINE, composed of a complete set of tools for synchronous group work support and collaboration session management, is presented. Focus is made on two important components: videoconference and session manager. Afterwards, a set of experiments is described. A co-design scenario in the electronic domain is detailed.
