Abstract :
The major research method about VAR location selection of distribution feeder in past was the non-linear programming method, and it has been published in many papers. However, many new methods have been discussed, such as genetic algorithm, fuzzy method and neutral network method...etc. Although the results are all quite good, we still want to find a new method to solve the VAR location selection problem. Therefore, in this article, three parts are reported. The first part focuses on the mathematics method, which is called GM(h,N) model. The second part is based on the results mentioned above, and the third part uses the bus line in the Taiwan Power System (Taipower) as our example to implement our algorithm.
