Abstract :
Fast torque response is very beneficial in industrial AC drive applications where direct torque control (DTC) is needed. This paper presents a new DTC approach based on a complete vector resolution. This vectored direct torque control (VDTC) generalises the concept of voltage vector selection to control simultaneously the stator flux and the torque of an induction motor. Computer simulations show the effectiveness of the proposed VDTC scheme.
