Abstract :
Describes an approach to information extraction for Chinese free text. An automatic learning algorithm of pattern rules for Chinese free text and employment of heuristic information are described. The method that combines pattern rule matching with heuristic information is utilized to perform the information extraction task. Experimental results have proved this method to be effective in improving the extraction result in complex situations and increasing recall noticeably.
