Abstract
In distributed interactive simulation based on the high level architecture, the aim of data distributed management (DDM) service can efficiently reduce the network traffic and save system´s resources. The approach for multicast grouping is the key of DDM. The two most common approaches for multicast group allocation are the region-based and fixed grid-based types. In this paper we proposed a new approach based on them. Results of the simulation experiment show that this approach can significantly reduce the message overhead and use fewer multicast groups.
