Abstract
The strong electromagnetic field, which accompanies lightning stroking microwave tower or lightning cloud-to-earth discharging, can disturb the communication electronic equipment in microwave stations. This paper uses analytical calculation and numerical calculation to study this electromagnetic disturbance. Analytical calculation adopts an equation of cloud-to-earth discharging transient electromagnetic field. Numerical calculation uses difference method to calculate. The computed results of these two kinds of calculations both express that the magnitude of electromagnetic disturbance is decided by some correlation parameters, which are the magnitude of lightning electric current, ν the travel speed of lightning electric current, h the height of the lightning current channel, d the calculated distance between the lightning current channel and the point of observation, etc. But numerical calculation can resolve the problem of medium mutation in microwave station building that makes it difficult to use analytical calculation to solve.
