Abstract :
Blind multiuser detection methods suppress the multi-access interference (MAI) in DS-CDMA system without requiring-the knowledge of the spreading codes of the different users. Conventional blind multiuser detection methods use typical least squares or least mean squares error algorithm, which involves matrix inversion in the estimation algorithm. In this paper a recursive least squares (RLS) algorithm is applied for blind multiuser detection in wireless system. This is shown to suppress the MAI with a much faster convergence and tracking characteristics compared to the least mean squares method.
