Abstract
The location service in cellular systems has become very important in recent years. This paper discusses the wireless location method which is based on the time difference of arrival (TDOA) in the wideband code division multiple access and proposes a new method by adding some beacons in the cell. It prevents the necessity of more than three bases participating in the location for the conventional method, and reduces the cochannel interference. In addition, this paper presents the results of the simulation and analysis of performance too.
