Abstract :
A new multichannel routing algorithm, termed the weighted on-demand routing (WOR) algorithm, is presented for a special class of ad-hoc network, called the multichannel multihop wireless network (MMWN). With the technology development of wireless communication and software radio, ad-hoc network nodes could use multiple channels as the transmission medium. We introduce the WOR algorithm that can best exploit the channel resource, and balance traffic flow throughout MMWNs.
