Abstract
The software radio technique can solve the problem of coexistence and intercommunication of multiple communication modes, and the mode switching technique in software radio solves how to switch among many communication modes and reconfigure the system for the new mode. A mode switching method based on the message handling mechanism in PC-based software radio systems is put forward, with the aim of reconfiguring the system quickly and effectively. Relevant descriptions are presented.
