  • Abstract
VR (virtual reality) is new man-machine interactive technology that can simulate visual and auditory action in the natural environment very distinctly. The computer produces 3D vision and sound. The 3D scene gives the possibility to observe the visual world using some peripheral equipment. AR (augmented reality) is an extension and elongation of VR. It is the key for the superposition of the actual world and the virtual world. The mixed world produced by the computer has a unique enhancement effect. Many specialist application fields can be satisfied and the interactive control capability can be enhanced. The paper proposes a tracking algorithm by which virtual objects are embedded seamlessly in a real scene. Experiments show that the algorithm speedily produces a truly embedded effect.
