Abstract :
Because of the large volume of data involved in the process and stringent continuity and real-time constraints, a video-on-demand (VOD) system demands novel schemes for scheduling continuous video streams. This paper presents a simple hybrid admission strategy that can increase the number of admitted requests and reduce the queuing time in a server cluster system.
