Abstract :
Peer-to-peer (P2P) networking technology is a currently emerging technology in the network research domain. And it is being taken seriously by lots of scientists and researchers. Peer discovery is an important problem in the P2P network communications. In this paper, several popular peer discovery methods are introduced and analyzed. On the basis of this, a peer discovery method using IP multicast and JXTA technology is proposed and the framework is realized through Java programming on the JavaTM 2 Platform.
