Abstract
This paper proposes an improved interference cancellation (IC) receiver for the up-link of code division multiple access (CDMA) systems. This receiver employs a decorrelating based hybrid interference cancellation (DHIC), which combines the advantages of successive interference cancellation (SIC), partial parallel interference cancellation (PPIC) and linear decorrelating, while combating the fading effects in mobile channels effectively. Simulation results show that the proposed DHIC receiver has better bit error rate (BER) performance and relatively lower complexity than the conventional SIC and PPIC in fading channels.
