Abstract :
A family of multiple-length, constant-weight wavelength-time optical orthogonal codes is constructed. The codes are suitable for integration of multimedia services with different quality-of-service requirements and signaling rates in optical code-division multiple-access systems with fiber-Bragg-grating array encoders/decoders. The rate and service quality are dynamically matched to users´ needs through the assignment of different-length wavelength-time code patterns, as illustrated.
