Abstract :
A context-dependent agent (CDA) has the ability to change its controller depending on the system status. We have designed a CDA for the real-time scheduling problem of an autonomous distributed job-shop manufacturing system, that considers both buffer usage and the makespan. This paper presents a CDA architecture and results of an extensive evaluation.
