Abstract
This paper presents a standardization activity of Japan FA Open Promotion Group (JOP), especially an activity on two open network standards for Factors Automation. The networks are named as ADS-net and FL-net. which are standardized by JOP and proposed to ISO TC184/SC5. These are based on Ethernet. ADS-net is used for exchanging production data between PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and Servers (Personal Computers) and FL-net is for exchanging data among PLCs.
