Abstract :
This paper presents a new multifunctional sensor with ultrasonic and capacitance functions capable of directly sensing four physical parameters of liquids, namely permittivity, conductivity, ultrasonic velocity, and attenuation coefficient. Moreover, more information could be acquired indirectly by combination measurement of these measurable parameters. As one application, simultaneously measuring concentration and temperature of a two-component dielectric solution is successfully performed.
