Abstract :
The authors have studied directional and polarized emissivities of metals and obtained that p-polarized emissivities at an angle more than 70° measured from the normal to the object surface were much higher than the rest of the directions. Using the advantages described above, a system of radiation thermometry for glossy metals near room temperatures has been created, enabling the simultaneous measurement of emissivity and temperature within the error of ±2 K in the range of 300 K to 373 K.
