Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a hybrid analog-digital system for the detection of plural two-dimensional (2D) light spot positions. The system consists of three parts: matrix sensor array unit, analog peak detecting unit and digital interpolation unit. First, the system receives the plural light spots by the matrix sensor array unit. Next, the peak values produced by the sensor elements are detected by an analog peak detecting unit. Finally, the actual 2D positions of the plural light spots are evaluated using the digital interpolation unit which consists of FPGA.
