Abstract :
An overview of existing and new techniques to maximize the achievable bit rate of discrete multi tone (DMT) based modems is presented. The presented methods focused on equalization and/or mitigation of narrowband interference using receiver windowing. The algorithms can be used in a per group equalization and/or windowing scheme, which has intermediate performance between a single time domain equalizer (TEQ)/a single window and a per tone equalizer.
