Abstract :
Advances in multimedia technology provide an opportunity to enhance learning in university education. The paper presents a sample of multimedia learning objects and cooperative activities based on Macromedia Flash, Questionmark Perception, and Mathworks Matlab, used to teach the theoretical concepts in a senior level course, "Digital signal processing in communication systems" (DSP/CS). A study that compares the performance of students with and without multimedia access is also included.
