Abstract
This paper presents an anti-aliasing filter for non-oversampled digital video signal applications in a 0.7 μm CMOS technology. The filter consists of a fifth-order elliptic low-pass filter and a third-order equalizer. A new high bandwidth and high linearity transconductor, which enables the filter to be implemented in CMOS, and its tuning technique are presented. From the simulation, the filter meets the desktop quality of CCIR 601 digital video standard for 1 Vpp single-ended input. The effects of transistor, resistor, capacitor, and temperature variations have been included in the design. The filter is to be fabricated in a 0.7 μm CMOS process. Power dissipation is estimated at 260 mW from a single 5 V power supply.
