Abstract
With the development of wireless network and stream media technology, e-learning will be used in a wireless environment wider and wider. In order to make the electronic classroom work well, the wireless network should be setup and tuned. As we know, the performance of a WLAN has been affected heavily by the distance and placement of wireless equipment. In Tianjin University, the wireless classroom has been used. This paper presents the network topology and the performance tuning and optimum. According to the simulation results, we get the optimum placement of multiple 802. 11b AP. We also build one small WLAN classroom and evaluate the performance through measuring, and our simulation result is close to the measure result.
