Abstract
The article presents a method for a proportional-integral (PI) control law permitting the robust stabilisation of the pressure in a pneumatic reservoir. The principal idea is to convert the nonlinearities and the uncertainties of the system in a certain number of constraints which are treated by the formalism of the linear matrix inequalities (LMI) in introducing generalised Lyapunov equations. This makes it possible to force the poles of the system in an area prescribed of the complex plan according to the desired requirements (response time, passing and mode of the system at high frequency). The solution of this problem of convex optimisation can be easily obtained. Thanks to numerical algorithms established in the software calculations of MATLAB.
