Abstract
In this work a computational code is developed for the solution of radiation problems in 2-D and 3-D. For this, a suitable formulation of the problem is developed considering Maxwell equations, which are written in a general coordinate system and numerically solved by using a vectorial formulation, through the use of the finite differences in the time domain method, FDTD method. The absorbing boundary condition (ABC), necessary to truncate the numerical domain, is formulated and implemented for the general coordinate system. This way, a horn sectorial antenna E-plane is analyzed. The results obtained by the developed method, LN-FDTD, are then compared to those obtained through the conventional FDTD method.
